The Biogeosciences (BGS) Group is an interdisciplinary community of scientists with broad research interests in the interactions of biological and geophysical processes and properties that govern the Earth system.
Mission
The goal of BGS group is to connect biogeoscientists across research groups and departments at UC Santa Barbara. The group runs a weekly seminar that provides a forum for graduate students, postdocs, and faculty to share ongoing research, exchange ideas, and receive diverse feedback on data interpretation and presentation. The BGS listserv provides an online platform for sharing information, research opportunities, and other resources among BGS participants.
